GV7704 is a four-channel serial digital video receiver for high-definition component video. With the integrated high-performance cable equalizer technology, GV7704 can receive compressed video at 270Mb/s or 540Mb/s, or uncompressed through 75 Ω coaxial cable 1.485Gb/s or 2.97Gb/s, or differential receiving cable through 100 Ω twisted pair

GV7704 integrates high-definition visual lossless codec (HD-VLC) technology, which is specially used to reduce the transmission data rate of high-definition video through coaxial and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables

This is achieved by encoding HD video, which is usually transmitted at a serial data rate of 1.485Gb/s, to the same rate as standard definition (SD) video. When the rate is 270Mb/s, the impact of cable loss is greatly reduced, resulting in longer cable transmission.
