GV7700 is a serial digital video transmitter for high-definition component video. With integrated cable drive technology, the GV7700 can transmit HD video at 270Mbps compressed or 1.485Gbps uncompressed on a 75 ohm coaxial cable or a 100 ohm twisted pair. The GV7700 integrates high-definition visual lossless codec (HD-VLC), which is designed to reduce the transmission data rate of high-definition video on coaxial and unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cables. This is achieved by encoding high-definition video, which is usually transmitted at 1.485Gbps serial data rate, to the same rate as standard definition (SD) video at 270Mbps serial data rate.
